  • I have owned one for 9 years (a 1998 non-turbo. Not quick...but it is a sturdy SUV, not a sports car. It gets me easily 30 kms per gallon in town w/mountains/hills w/ AC use. I have taken this off road to visit rural areas and its performance is amazing, especially with the factory skid plate. The only downside is that with time the 4x4 fails...you can twist the dash dial, but it never reallly kicks in and is not easy to fix requiring a computer, which we have tried that several times.

  • podrido

  • i drove this car today, after somebody bought my car as an upgrade, so i had to drive the 2.9 liter diesel, i had never driven anything so slow and unresponsive, the ride would make a sailor feel see sick, it rolls in the corners, (more than a usual car this size) the steering is pathetic, it is soft light weight, and has no feel at all, its like the steering wheel isnt connected to the front wheels, i couldnt keep up with this guy that was in my old car, so i got lost becase he got to far ahead

  • just another cheesey lying car salesman.. the build quality was rubbish...they're butt-ugly and a Lada Niva has more respect on the dirt for half the price!

  • i get this geep thats realy fail i sell it and i buy on his money volvo t6 thats beeter its realy to week i put full gaz his go normal and his verey week

  • I owned this one for four years, and i had no troubles with it at all, just regular stuff likes tyres and brakes to replace,

the engine is good enough for millions of merc large vans so i cant see why your bad experiences should detract from it?, each to his own opinion, I loved my Musso and all i needed it for, PS. the Tagaz plant is not Ssangyong owned, Tagaz bougth the rights and the production line 2 years ago, it cant be seized, enjoy your Mitsu or Landy....as is your opinion, good luck

  • 1)The same engine as fitted to many many mercededs quality vans, this engine has bags of torque and is very quiet, and with a turbo has good performance.

    2) transmission isn't an issue at all, the gear shifts are smooth and easy with the direct shift 3)The car only weighs around 2 tons, 4) Ssangyong so far have not declared bankruptcy, Musso's and Korando's will are being made by "Tagaz" in Russia

    5) True, and all the cars have their own merits
