Believe me, none of this shit would even TOUCH Saudi Arabia's shores, so don't even THINK about comparing Australia to Saudi Arabia. Admittedly, the only area in which we are behind in somewhat (but so is the US) is same-sex marriage. But of course, that wouldn't be "progressive" would it?

@camerton, comparing us to being like Saudi Arabia is a bit extreme-we actually let our women drive and vote. The show didn't get BANNED. It suffered from flagging ratings during the last season and was cancelled as a result. Uncut was renamed "Adults Only" but was eventually banned as some of it was really pushing the limit (one example: two very romantically entwined housemates in bed, with some dialogue that went along the lines of him showing her how he likes to receive a handjob)
