We took these movies in July, 1960. This was during Okmulgee's annual Pioneer Pow-Wow and Rodeo. Gene Autry was there that year. I was only 5 so I don't remember going to the rodeo.

  • this is so interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I married a man from okmulgee and tour the place and then come home to see this just fascinated me. Maybe you knew my husband or his family. Adkins??? :) His parents had a Bar B Que place in Okmulgee????

  • @Mrsnewattitude617 Thanks for your comment!!! I'll have to ask my mom. She grew up in Okmulgee but moved away when she got married to my dad after the war, in January 1946. She may know the family if they were around at the same time, especially if they went to Okmulgee High during the same period.
