In this video Gibraltar Hardware's Brent Barnett interviews percussionist Kevin Ricard to design his new drum rack. Kevin and his band, lead by Rickey Minor, had been the house band for American Idol for the past few years. They will now replace Kevin Eubanks's band as he exits The Tonight Show. 6/7/2010 was their first show.

Kevin asked Brent to make his rack look flashier and chromed-out, since it will now be much more visible to the audience. Brent used several curved bars where bongos, cymbals, and the percussion workstation (GPRWS) will be attached. This surrounds three LP congas which are on LP cradles.

    Hello, I have a SPD-S, a Tenori-on and 2 cymbals.

I'm thinking about getting a GPRWS and put the SPD and the tenori on the table.

What do you think? Is the table firm enough to support the SPD beating?

    Thanks

Yes, the GPRWS will be able to support the beating you will be giving the SPD-S. This item is extremely sturdy

Okay, here's my feedback: The camera shots were ALL TOO TIGHT!! Zoom out more and give us the big picutre visual. Escpecally since you did not display everything on the rach already mounted. Also, Show step by step building of the rack - all the instruments on the rack - playing a completed song at the end of the video with Ricardo using many of the instruments, so we can see his flow - in other words - "HOW THE MASTER DOES IT!"

Much Love, Can't wait til the next video.

I like the rack but ive got a thing about vibration of sound through steel, tubular or otherwise.A diffrent lighter material would be much more atractive for me ;0) bless

I love your products!!! But why is the tubing for your racks systems soooooooooo expensive. You guys should come up with a rack that even an entry level player can afford. Food for thought.....
