How to boil RICE with a MICROWAVE! 電子レンジで ご飯をおいしく炊く方法！

Hi there! ＾＾

Do you have a rice-cooker?
Even if not, You can cook rice in a simple / easy way, just by using a microwave oven! Enjoy your yummy rice!!

When you want to cook rice for 2 people, you need 2 cups of rice and 4 cups of water. If you want to cook rice for only your self, you need a cup of rice and two cups of water. But it depends on the person how much rice to eat(need) , of course! ^0^ Anyway, you need twice as much water as the rice. ^^

My microwave is 1000w.
I used 魚沼産　こしひかり　this time. (I got it by ECO points!)＾０＾

I've cooked rice in this way several times before, and in my opinion, the rice by a microwave is yummier than one by a rice cooker! ^0^

This is my way. There are other ways of course.

But I have a question (I hope it has not been answered before..): How often do I have to wash the rice? Does the water need to be all clean (like, nothing white in the water anymore) or do I just have to do it several times and it will be okay? ^-^

@MissUmbrellaSnowwhit I myself just rinse rice (Japanese polished rice) several times. But it might differ with the type of rice...＾０＾　Anyway, the reason we wash rice is to remove rice bran left on face of it, so I think it's ok that something...like dirty bubbles is removed from the water. ＾＾
