Anyone who doesn't think the police were very polite and proffesional is delusional. Anybody who got arrested or shoved put themselves in that position intentionally to score points with the other occupliers.

I respected the police, Just recorded and didn't stand in there face and shout. As long as you follow the orders given you were ok.

Which should you be more scared of, the massive many or the few hidden undercover cops probably standing next to you, without you knowing it getting ready to do their "duty".

They led us right into the trap, we just settled and rested up. It wasn't until Michigan that they had weapons like that wielding them

When I said "I don't think I've ever held my country in sadder regard", I was referring to the idea of that enormous, equipped police presence. What would all those Revolutionaries from the 1700's say now, at their descendants, who are simply, peacefully VOICING discontent, being swarmed and guarded by a militant police force?

I have no qualm with the police officers, but I do have qualms with whomever gave those orders. It was disturbing and sick. Truly sick.

Again, I ask--were you actually there at the protest? Or are you basing these claims upon some biased "news" reporter's accounts?

I agree, that the majority of the police officers themselves were professional, and nothing less. However, the fact that there was such a large scale of police in what I can only describe as combat gear was what sickened me. My father is a police officer--I have no grudge against the average policemen. I know they have their duty, and orders which to comply.

B\ Were you there at the protest? Because if you were, you would have seen that the VAST majority of the thousands of protesters where quite peaceful students, veterans, working class members, parents, children, or elderly folk. I presume you're referring to the small group of anarchists who were present at the protest--a group whose numbers were incredibly insignificant compared to everyone else.
