Hiking to Machu Picchu along the beautiful Salkantay Trek will enlighten You from beginning to end.

The Salkantay mountains is located northwest of Cusco,it rises to 6271 meters above sea level (20574 ft). The name Salkantay means 'Savage Mountain' which refers to the swirling clouds that rise up from the Rainforest and engulf the peak.

The Salkantay Trek has become very popular among trekkers and adventurers wanting to combine a quieter less trodden route with a visit to the Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu.

You will be surrounded with magnificent scenery as you make your way to Machu Picchu.

The Salkantay Trek is a little more difficult than the Inca Trail, and horses can be used to carry food and camping equipment.
