Some scenes from an August 2010 fishing trip on the Royal Polaris out of San Diego. The water was unusually cold this year, and the tuna and dorado had lockjaw. But we did find some hungry bonito, bass, rockfish, and lingcod. And one stop with some pretty active yellowtail. The captain and crew did their best to get fish on the boat. Met a lot of nice people on board too. Always fun to get out on the ocean, and it was a great trip. Sorry for the lack of fishing action shots, but the camerawoman was too busy fishing!
