This nymph hatched that very same day. Sorry for the out of focus shots, but that thing was seriously small!

  • what do nymphs eat?

  • @TehPostman I'm not sure about a newborn nymph, but the older ones eat small insects, such as fruit flies or small moths.

I assume a newborn nymph would do the same, but on a smaller scale, since they're almost exact replicas of the parents, so they're probably capable to hunt as soon as they're born.

  • wheres the mom and the corps

  • @snivy606 The mom lived for about a week after the nymphs hatched.

  • @TehPostman ants ??????

  • ** falls over dead from the cute **

  • is this nymph can handle a fruit fly??

  • I bought an ootheca, and since it was slightly cold outside i decided to hatch them on top of my fridge. Well it turns out they hatched faster than i had anticipated and my food hadnt arrived yet so i had to spend my day picking up over a hundred tiny mantises running around my kitchen and they all died before their food arrived. :(

  • no way that is cute man.

  • i got distracted by family guy..

  • so cut only if they stay this little

  • Who ever can swallow the most tylanol PM WINS =D
