A very hard grandmaster puzzle... white must win so no draw.
Tip: pause the game and use a bord!

The solution will come after 2 minuts

  • This is not forced. The correct move is rc6 followed by c1q, ra6+, kb7, rb6, qxb6, nxb6 and after king takes White races down and saves his pawn, I think he can save it, if not however this I'd just a draw...

  • @RaD1K4l Im honestly suprised that after so many times people made the stalemate mistake, you still claim this is the right variation. Please read the comments first before you make a fool out of yourself. Thank you.

  • Maybe i'm making a mistake but it seems that there is another solution.

    1. Ra7 , Kb8

    2. Ra6 , whatever (promotion or any king moves)

    3. Rb6

    Then white wins easyly.

  • @SuperRogo11 , Yea its seems that way. But after Qb1 Rb6 + Ka8 Rxb1 its stalemate

  • Nice puzzle

  • @RaD1K4l black NEVER takes on b6 ALWAYS kh8 (never Kxc8) and white can never take the queen on b1. Ra7 is wrong answer.

  • @RaD1K4l 1.Ra7+ Kb8 2.Ra6 b1=Q 3.Rb6+ Ka8 If white rook takes queen, black is stalemated since the king has no legal moves.

  • @borgdrone88 lol there is no stale mate, set it up and play 1) ra7+, kb8 2) ra6, then if ...b1-q 3) rb6+, qxb6 4) nxb6 and White is winning. if ... Kb7 3) rb6+ kxc8 4) rxb2 and White is winning. and finally if kxc8 3) rb6 and White is winning. Even after 1) rc6 instead, although White loses both pieces he can still save the pawn...

  • Or ra7+ is even better...

  • it didnt take me long to figure out Rc6 and its way easier than ur solution and forcefull........i do believe the lesser complicated solution is the better one

  • nb6+kb8 .. nd7+ka8.. rc8. No matter where King goes after that, the rook will be able to get on the B file, protected by the knight, and kill that pawn. From there it's an easy win. :-)

  • 1.Rc6, b8-Q; 2. Ra6+, Kb7 3. Rb6 ... etc. After the exchanges, the black king cannot stop the pawn from promoting due to the king already at the last line of the board. isn't this a good variant also?
