  • Of course we all can play John Cage's 4'33 perfectly and live in the "modern world". But, it's just easier for people to understand trombone music by using the "old language."

  • i guess this was played in a seminar for trombone players , so your argument is ...

what was the programm of the recital ?

  • You don't need to guess and, yes, as the title says "Denson Paul Pollard Recital in the Asia Trombone Seminar". There is no argument. Just reply about the point "another proof that trombone players are still in the middle age." Sorry that I don't remember the program now but we sincerely welcome you to join us next year and you will know what is the program during the concert.

  • :-) nice if you invite me to play a recital to bring you out of the middle age .. and you will remember the music a little longer ..

  • We had Mr. David Taylor and Mr. Dietmar Küblböck showed us the beauty of the contemporary music in the previous workshop. In addition, Mr. Christian Lindberg has visited this country several times. We all heard the best modern music from them. If you feel that you are better than those musicians, please send the resume to the Asia Trombone Seminar.(you can find the e-mail address on the webiste) The committee will review your file and make a decision. Thank you.

  • @amrein I am pretty sure this comment just shows that you are oblivious to the fact that musical eras do not just start, they are transitioned into. I do not remember too many middle age pieces that have so many variations.

  • What I love even more than his incredible ability on the instrument is that you can see how much he enjoys what he does! Very few people can say that they make a living doing what they love!

  • Amazing bass trombone playing!!

  • yeh ! great!

  • I never had sax but i played a trombone once..

  • This song makes for nice circus music.

  • @amrein

Dont worry paul, you will allways be a better musician and person than this idiot. I am inspired by your playing as well as being such a humble human being.

  • @amrein I think your trying to please other people, not yourself, play music that you want to experiance/like, its not about what other people want.

  • @babtrombone vice versa would be fine
