DIY Wind Turbine for under €50

I made this turbine from offcuts of 1.5mm steel no more than 50mm in width and 400mm long then used an old cordless drill motor and gearbox.
The outer ring was a piece of 30mm x 3mm flat strip bent to a drawn circle on a piece of wood.
Then all tacked together

So what's being used for the power source to generate the voltage for under 50?

I used a second hand battery drill that the battery pack had died on for 5 pound.

you have so much surface exposed to the wind that it isnt spinning well at all, i would try to take out at least half ot the blades.

@fsfabrications Cant be getting much power from that. Vawt {vertical access wind turbine) is fairly easy to construct with cheap everyday products. Perhaps you may catch more of the wind with that.

Also a good idea is to find a local scrap and see if you can find an old ceiling fan. That will get you more power than a hand drill.

It is difficult to see the blade speed in the video. Do you know blade speed vs. wind speed?
