I used to love hiphop, punk rock etc but I only find comfort in this kind of music anymore
-
@Holm182 Also known as the Jolly Clamdiggers!
-
It's a reel called The Blackthorn Stick! Not to be confused with the jig with the same name!
-
what's the other reel that kicks in at 1:22?
-
hard to bate a bita trad lad, always the best from the best, keep her country!
-
Who playes the Whistle? was it John or Ciaran?
-
I love them all, but I'm happy that Barney and John are still going. They've always been my favourite players as I like the jig, reels and hornpipes as much as the songs.
I'm looking forward to seeing them when they play locally in March. Dubs gigs are always great!

indeed.. :( makes me quite sad.. my mother had been a fan of the dubliners even before i was born.. ^^

And Ronnie, and Bobby, and Ciaran. We've lost a lot of Dubs over the years :-(
the pic from 0:39 til 1:05, how lon ago would that have been taken?? barney's standing up straight but that new guy who i don't like is there too - anyone?

Patsy Watchorn joined the group in 2005 so it must have been taken between 2005 and 2008.

ok, then the one from 2:07 til the end, how come barney looks so different, did he have his stroke in between those times? and where's that watchorn fella if it's later than that, because this looks like they did in Live at the Gaeity 2004, but watchorn was there too, but barney looked in the vid like he does now - why doesn't he look like he did in the previous pic i mentioned in the video if that's when watchorn was with them? ..sorry if that's a bit confusing!

Thats okay, though I do not know the precise date of that picture either, It has to be before 2005, since thats when Paddy Reilly left for New York and was replaced by Watchorn.
As for Barney, he might have changed his appearance or something, I dont know, all I know is is that the picture from 2:07 till the end was taken earlyer then the one from 0:39-1:05
