This video features an Italpresse automatic cold pressing line for the lamination of 2 plies engineered flooring (IN REAL PRODUCTION).
Plywood boards (in this video are particleboard only for demonstration) are fed through a glue spreader that applies glue only on the top side of the panel.
Once the plywood panel reaches and stop on top of the disc conveyor, a handling unit will pick up the panel by means of grippers with thin panel holding device and will lay it down on a motorized belt mounted on top of a scissors lift.
Subsequently a vacuum handling unit will pick up the solid wood lamellas and it will lay them down on top of the plywood panel. This unit is self aligning, therefore when the solid wood lamellas are placed over the plywood sheet, alignment is automatically assured.
Glued plywood panel handling unit and solid wood lamellas handling unit run on the same runways granting precision of reciprocal positioning of the two units.
This process will repeat till a stack of panels/lamellas is made.
Once the stack is composed, all the material will be driven into the hydraulic press for the pressing cycle.
