Well actually its a 2.3 litre T5 unit. They call it a 2.5T but its actually a 2.3 that was modified by Ford same as BMW have a 323 but its a 2.5. Its not just the 1.6 Diesel that is shared, all of the 1.4/1.6/2.0/2.2 TDCi are all PSA-shared engines that have been modified by Ford thats why they are also found in Peugeot/Citroen a.k.a HDi. Its only the 1.8 115 TDCi that isn't PSA/HDi because that engine is a separate powerplant. Its a CommonRail injection version of the old TDDi Endura Diesel.

The Race instructor was a pain in the ass. Nice noise shame it didn't drain out that dicks voice.lol
no effence, but if i was gunna pay for a driving experience.. it wouldnt be in a FORD FOCUS!!!!!!! you should have gone in a atom or ferrari, i paid £60 for the ferrari and £50 for the atom. the ford isnt partciualy a very fast car compared to supercars..

@vteckicksarse Thanks for the comment vteckickarse, but I didn't actually pay anything. I work for Ford and this was a Focus RS test day, a perk of the job!
I also had ran an RS as a company car for a year, and I can confirm it is bonkers fast. Maybe not like a Ferrari in a straight line, but then it costs 26k..

sorry no offense to volvo, i mean ford could try to to make there own turbo 4 cylinder like dodge SRT4 or Chevys Cobalt SS motors.

good comment! As the Focus and Volvo are essentially the same, it probably makes sense to use the Volvo unit. However, for the next gen Focus there is a new "Ecoboost" which is a 4cyl turbo.
