  • @dadadruma Buddy Holly produced about 40 hits in two years before he was killed in a plane crash. I agree, it is amazing. Some people just got it and most of us don't. LOL

  • @6547811 in respect for the late don k he did have a great ear for a hit but he should of given the monkees a chance when they wanted to don could of still produced but i think Chip Douglas was the better ear

  • @dadadruma i think thats why the beatles loved them so much, the producers of the show captured lighting in a bottle, from the beginning the monkees wanted to play as a band but they where given a hard time by don kirshner who was like a musical dictator on the first two records.

  • @6547811 it amazes the hell out of me what these four guys accomplished in two years what most bands in ten years

  • @dadadruma thank you for your comment, love to hear all the cool stuff that happened on tour!

  • @6547811 so true my friend listen to mikes guitar work it was sounding way more aggressive than the 67 tour i think he was using his white gibson standard with a single marshall stack 500watts Big dfference than the Gretch 12 string and Vox super Beatle amps

  • @dadadruma true, that is an amazing live performance of that song, they should of added the live version of circle sky on the "head" album it would of made the album stand out more, but someone picked the studio version instead, peter was pissed about that,i can see why,the live take is 100 times better.

  • @6547811 I totally feel that the live version of circle sky on the head soundtrack

was a saddly underrated obscure but one of the top five live performances of the 60s and 70s
