[How To] Jailbreak 3.1 / 3.1.1 on iPhone 1G / 3G and iPod Touch 1G - Mac

This jailbreak will work for the iPhone 1G, the Original iPhone, the iPhone 3G and the iPod Touch 1G. It does not work for the iPhone 3GS, the iPod Touch 2G and 3G. This is a multipart release meaning they will hopefully make the other devices compatible.

hey. good video. i did the jailbreak on my iphone 3g (never been unlocked or jailbroken, and i use an at&t sim card), but now i cant make phone calls. it installed cydia and icy and i can get on wifi, but i cant make any phone calls. have any ideas for me on how i can fix it? thanks man!

I have no idea but all I know is that the iPhone Dev-Team is working on a Redsn0w version for Windows and Mac but they haven't said when they will release it. I will have a video out as soon as it comes out :-)

no unfortunately you can't. The iPhone Dev-Team has not released an update for Redsn0w neither for Windows or Mac but they are currently working on it. I will have a tutorial out as soon as it is out.

when i open pwnagetool it says "you don't appear to have Itunes 7.7 or later version. You need to upgrade itunes to be able to restore custom firmware bundles" when i have itunes 10.1.2

any suggestions or help please!!!??!?

i have the iphone first gen and it is impossible to find the right firmware bundle because there is like 30 of them... any pointers???

Oh you should have uncheck icy because that's give you 1,600 errors
