The Education Abroad Network Internship Program gives students and recent college graduates entry into China's leading organizations and ensures that they will receive training compatible with their employment and/or educational history. Internships are generally unpaid and are 36-40 hours per week for full-time placements and 10-20 hours per week for part-time placements. These internships are an invaluable learning experience for students of all academic disciplines and are project-based, meaning students will work on a specific project for the duration of the internship.

Students participating in either the Shanghai or Beijing semester programs have the option to undertake a part-time internship in conjunction with their academic studies. Students will be placed in an internship that matches their academic or personal interest needs as closely as possible. No matter the assigned internship, students consider the opportunity to immerse oneself into daily Chinese working life a highlight of the program.

  • TEAN is a phenomenal program to go though. They provide you with great housing, endless opportunities and multiple excursions. I wish I was still abroad! Take the chance while you can, it's a chance in a lifetime :)

  • I definitely agree! TEAN's internship opportunity was amazing. I, myself, was placed with a small NGO company and worked as a Marketing Research Assistant. I was able to use my creativity and business knowledge to create proposals for foreign start-up companies in China and also provide feedback on improving their website and workshops. Overall, it was an incredible experience where I was able to see how business was done from a Chinese perspective- while networking with many different people.
