Let me say it again, I'm sorry. The Pini's are no fools and I know they have been working hard for years. They deserve super-kudos for keeping hope alive and not giving up on an Elfquest feature. I know development is a tedious, disappointing and even embarrassing road...in ANY country.
Yeah, I went too far in assuming. Sorry.
Please equate my dumb remarks to a slightly heartbroken child crying sour grapes at that really cool Christmas gift he's always wanted..... (Bowing apologetically)

@MadamMasque Again, I didn't want to be assuming, and I apologize if I went too far.
If I was brusque and glib it's only my frustration as a very loyal fan who deeply loves this series and it's creators. I deeply appreciate Pini's work since childhood and I think it has never received the immense recognition it deserves.
I would be a lying jerk if I said I would turn my nose up at WB if they offered me a chance to do a great piece of work like Elfquest, but in CG and 3D to boot.

There's a fan video being made for Elfquest w/ the creators of Elfquest. Squee! If you look up Stephanie Thorphe Elfquest you'll find lots of links to it. The characters they chose look perfect for the characters.

I agree. It is an exciting end and people would want to know what will happen with the castle of the high ones etc.

Thanks for all you do, Wendy and Richard Pini!
I don't want to assuming, but I think the Pini's could have licensed Elfquest to animation studios in Europe (France) or Asia (Japan) and had a fantastic Hollywood free hand-drawn artistic masterpiece LONG ago.
But if this is all about money....ok cool, remain a pawn of Hollywood development limbo....

@KiCreativeStudio Youtube needs an assinine filter, seriously. Ki, you don't want to assume, but you're doing just that. One assumption is that we don't (or didn't) know about European or Asian animation, or haven't already been down that road. Which we have, with the same disappointing "development limbo" results as anything Hollywood could cook up.

@KiCreativeStudio Another assumption - or implication - is that "this is all about money" as if that's a bad thing. Well, I suppose if it was ALL about money, yeah, you might have a case. But nothing is ALL about anything in this quest. If a large American studio is willing to invest (to date) close to a million dollars in development, we say keep going. And after 30+ years of shepherding the elves, we're looking for a little payback too, and no apology.
