@xxishimaruxx The low end Ibanez's are about the same quality as the new VM and CV Squier basses, and the top of the line ones rival American made Fenders.

First and foremost of all I just want to say it warms my heart to see young people taking on the art of music. As a bassist and fellow RUSHaholic I enjoy watching others emulate Geddy, Neil and Alex. Sometimes I even see and hear some little nuance I may have missed. To Deanthebassplayer1, keep up the good work and do not let criticism hinder you. Always remember, humility before greatness. Heck, even Rush still hasn't been entered into the "Hall of Fame" yet. Just follow your heart and rock on!

dang... i would play bass but my dad's old bass is buried and has broken strings XD absolutely freakin awesome cover!!!!!!
The kids needs harsh criticism you know... I remember when I played my guitar in front of my friends when I was 8, and they called me very bad names. But since they were my friends, they still gave me useful advice to improve my skills. I've never regretted that day I found out that I was playing a right hand guitar using my left hand...

@youman1996 I agree, after i play at an event, or a show or anything, i always ask friends, or family or whoever was there to give me criticism, and it really helps. My teacher for upright bass is also very strict and i think that helps me stay more focused.

Love to see young cats playing REAL instruments and not this rock band/guitar hero crap. Great job bro. My advice to all young cats comming up is to learn to read real music and not just TAB. Try to wrap your mind around some theory and pick your self up a jazz Real Book for bass.

Funny you should say that, i just started playing upright bass about a year ago or so, and im LOVING IT!!! I got myself a nice bass, a realist pickup, and good realbook. I am well on my way to becoming a great jazz bassist. ;) oh and btw, i could read music since like 3rd grade. I think im better at reading notes, and rhythms, then reading tablature.
