Hello Guy, I've been seeing your comments on so many banjo videos that I eventually went to your homepage. I must say that was the best idea I had today, and I had a couple ;)
Your videos are awesome and I'm going to try and learn this tune, Angeline the Baker, from you because of all versions here on youtube I think it's one of the finest!
Thanks for posting your music (and posting comments on other people's videos so that we can see them too).
@kevinboue1 Hello Kevin , Thanks for the kind words . ( and in English ) My sister in law lives in Agen where the prunes are famous !! All the best , Guy
I've got a question. Have you ever seen anyone play clawhammer where when they do the single notes, they'll put their thumb on the index finger and then move it back to the fifth string for the strums?
There are so many great rhythm strums . Tons of things from the first half of the twentieth century . Do a search on 'kitchen banjo ' here on YT for some great circle strums and double hand swipes .I use a move like your talking about on Arkansas Traveler and sometimes on Soldiers Joy .I use a opening fan at the b part of The Coo Coo . Thanks of having a listen , Yours Guy
JIm I should have thought of you .. No your right . This should be in D I think to work with fiddle . I will do another in tune that you can play with .. !!! All the best , Guy
