wow! Finally I can hear an Indian singer singing in Western style! His Neapolitan (it's not Italian but a dialect) sounds really good too! I can tell he's been trained in classical Indian singing because his voice is placed really forward and a bit nasal at times, somehow lacks the depth of Western operatic singing...but really impressive anyway!
Zeshan, that was excellent. Can anyone write where this recital took place? The only other Indian that I have seen in classical western music is the conductor Zubin Metha . Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Your pronunciation is great and I can see from your expressions that you really do understand what you are saying. Do you by any chance have an Italian mother-in-law? That really helps with the pronunciation and the understanding of the language. Lovely song
Great Job Zeshan!!, Great passion!!, Very expressive performance!!. I am so glad I found your video on Youtube, and will watch every one you posted!. My father was Neapolitan and had a great voice, my brother has a magnificent voice, and I have recently taken voice lessons to continue my fathers legacy. Zeshan, you have captured the Neapolitan nuance and passion. I salute you!!.
...so beautiful!

The concert took place at Northwestern University's Latkin Hall. I was one of the fortunate attendees! Zeshan sang his heart out.

I've never understood why classical indian singers haven't made the transition to Western opera, so I suppose it was just waiting for the right voice.
Mr Zeshan has it. Damn recital brings tears to my eyes -- every bloody time.
