  • lets go back to the smaller car that was great on gas like geo metro, mazda protege, cars like that those car got the gas millage before the hybrid mess got started exspecially the geo

  • @MrBry329 Actually, let's not. The internal combustion engine was invented in the 19th century. Why are we still using it? Time to move forward. Hydrogen seems to be the logical choice.

  • By the way if you would be smart and did some calculations you would know that payback time for Camry hybrid is 17.5 years compared to non hybrid Camry(with $3.50 gas price)...12y. with $5.00 (car will ned to be junked after 10 due to battery life)

That was just calculating extra price you pay vs gas savings...adding cost of ownership and battery life = same as owning H2

Currently all hybrids are waist of money...when you buy them new.

  • Those figures you supplied don't make any sense in Canada where prices are much higher and are calculated in litres, not gallons.

  • YOU tell ME!

  • @RAJSTA81 It's not a huge myth.. have you seen what is needed to produce the batterys and motors for electric/hybrid vehicles? Complete electric vehicles are different because they are 100% clean. Hybrids still use gas when going highway speeds there only usful when in the city. So there using just as much gas as a small car on the highways. The batterys alone needed cause so much toxins it's sad. Entire car is made with rare earth metals which produce low levels of radiation. Myth Confirmed!

  • @MrBry329

They are cramped little cars..People buy them for the purpose of cheap economy..Sad part is that they are cramped and not very convenient for a family of 4..

The Hybrid gives you the best of both worlds. 4 cylinder economy .(Better than any of the cars that you speak of) in a large family car.. At the same, great performance!

Why would you want a tinny Geo??

  • if we all converted over to just electric do you actually think the oil company would let this happen i would like it if we could but the big boys are just to money hungry.. they could make money the same way at the the quick charge stations but not as much as gas ... i dont know we have to figure something out,, did you know they are putting more ethanol in gas to make it burn faster ...

  • Heck I dive enough in stop and go traffic to justify this, and I want the comfort. So whoever came up with those figures about paying it off in some odd years. My driving, I'll have it paid off in 3 years. Not to mention put 200,000 km on it by that time as well. Better spring for the extended warranty.

  • I love to get one soon. I don't care that it costs extra money. I love the camry and the options you get on a hybrid with the navigation package is insane. I have been wanting to get a car with leather for a while, and this is the closest I can get a car of decent size with the same fuel economy as my current car, the Echo.

  • @andbudzi youve been putting this comment on EVERY hybrid video. seriously? your annoying.
