I still have mine!! Looking for an adult sized model, just for fun. The commercial shows Dad using it too--I'll have to see if I can still fit on mine.
@PromosbyRicochet Inflation hasn't changed THAT drastically in much anything other than gas prices, which has seen at it's peak around a 70% markup over the last 20 years. Everything else has gone up maybe... 12, and only recently within the past 5 years or so...
Teddy Ruxpin was something like 100 bucks when it came out... Brand new video games have been 50 bucks a pop since the days of the original nintendo, and I think even atari all the way to what? 2005? Just saying.
$50 in 1987 is outrageous! --- Mine was free cuz it was thrown out at a house we moved to I think lol, I remember the BIG screw that held on the bars would fall off when it fell out lol.
@chrisparrotte This is one of the first Products I ever worked on. It was great. The ad price was high but you sould get it at KMart at the time for 29.99. The orange puppet was named Harry. He was a muppet robot that rode the roller racer. I loved to control him (RC). When I talked his mouth would move and my voice would come from his mouth. It was a great way to pick up girls cause with Harry I could get away with saying anything. lol
and it will scrape the fuck out of your knuckles if you get too close to the curb... CALL NOW!!
