  • Great review bro! I am back in San Francisco now, I left Austin Texas. I can totally get that beer here! I will be reviewing it soon! EVERYONE says it tastes like pumpkin pie in a bottle! Also I am did a mini mash batch here in the Bay Area of Belhavens Scottish Ale! It is Fermenting rite now but send me your address and I will send you a couple bottles when its done and do a side by side huh! LOL take it easy bro!

  • @gabethegun Why the move from Texas back to San Fran? I think you should definitely review this beer. Its GREAT

  • did you say the Pumking was only 7%ish? That's weird. In the USA it's 9% ABV. I wonder if they brew it differently for export or if they just water it down? Either way it sounds like what you tasted was the same beer I get here. That's one of my all-time favorite beers. I've bought 5 or 6 bombers of it so far this season.

Sounds like the pumking was pumpkin pie and the Great Lakes was organic pumpkin - those are the two different styles of pumpkin beers. I like the pie ones a little better.

  • @ChadzBeerReviews Its 7.9% here. thats weird! I feel a little ripped off now. . . considering I spend $9.99 for that bottle of beer. . . .I wonder why that would be?

I'm going to say it was one of my all-time favorites too! What a great drink! Maybe I'll e-mail Southern Tier and ask them. For a strong beer it was smooth as anything though. I loved it!

  • great vid, I just had the selection of either of these and went with the pumking, 9 dollars a bottle, should be a better beer methinks.

  • The US often uses CBW (weight) to give content, which isn't really right. The Canadians have used CBV (volume), which comes out like more, but really the CBW is less than volume % because water is heavier than alcohol. You may have gotten a beer measured by weight in the US when one for Canadian import was by volume ... maybe not, I don't know lol, just a thought.

  • @Turfarea I know. It was soooo good. I'd love to make something like that!! Glad you found one!

  • @weirdbeer Wow! Thanks for the tip using the LCBO website. A totally different flavor then the Great Lakes One. Thanks again!

  • Maybe it was due to the difference in head level but it looked like the Pumpking head was abit darker/more orange, am I correct?

  • A beer in each hand doesn't get much better then that :)
