ActivSkin Men's Hosiery on TV - 2nd Appearance

Steve Newman, spokesman for ActivSkin Legwear for Men made a second appearance on Daytime Columbus (WCMH, NBC4-TV/Columbus, OH) to discuss the emerging trend of men's legwear (tights, pantyhose, mantyhose, support hosiery, etc.). This time he and host Gail Hogan discussed the occupational aspects of support hosiery for men, and how certain professions are more 'at-risk' for causing leg circulation problems. Women suffering from leg circulation issues (venous insufficiency, varicose veins) have always had the option of using nylon support hosiery for relief. Now, men also have their own product available to help them out.

While there are many occupations that can benefit from support hosiery, among those requiring long periods of standing are: surgeons, chefs/cooks, and retail clerks. Sitting motionless for hours on end, pilots, truck drivers, IT professionals and concert musicians can all have problems with venous insufficiency or varicose veins.

I have been wearing pantyhose for 15 years as I liked the feel but I now have vascular valve problems and need to wear hosiery for compression or my blood pools in my ankles. It is nice to see a mens product out there with a fly
