This is a cross stitch picture i charted and designed. I was inspired by objects i'd seen in a Egypt history book. The Eye of Horus, Scarab Beetle were in colour whilst the Ankh and Tutankhamen's tomb lid, with hieroglyphics, was in black and white. I used colours that ancient Egyptians would have used and interpreted how the colours would have been used on the tomb lid!
The Ankh, I used metallic gold and light blue thread. The idea for the metallic blue in the middle represents the glittering gems, Pharoahs would have been privileged.
The pyramid is stitched using long-stitch (going sideways and diagonal to give 3D illusion) Metallic Gold thread and bright yellow, represents how Pyramids originally shone brightly with Limestone.

I hope you enjoy!!
