http://www.drcphotos.com. Spring peepers can be heard throughout most of spring. They are tiny-only about 1.25 inches in length, but can be heard from .25 miles away. These peepers were recorded in a central Ohio vernal pool. The peeper can be distinguished from other frogs by its 'X' marking on its back. They are incredible neat animals!
