Thanks a lot for this great video and the mandelbulber. I have started developing of fractal rendering programs myself and thought maybe i can learn something from the sources. Is there any development documentation of the mandelbulber sources to get into them?

btw: what happens @ 1:21 - 1:27 in the upper right corner? Are those little rendering errors or parts of the formula? Someone knows?

In this corner there is visible overstepping problem (too high values of estimated distance to the fractal surface)

yES, he had no idea! I only just discovered the limits of speed on my tower. I've cheated and made some choppy flights by saving jpegs at various zoom levels w/o using the built in animator. It would take a $100,000 computer to make your film in 15minutes or less. My setup: i720 11g ram 500g hd nvidia260gtx 1gb vid ram.

I'm not sure if a superior video card will make things faster here. It's up to the ram isn't it?
