Your appreciation for the excellent quality of RR knives is refreshing. There is a lot of China-bashing in the knife world and RR's quality should be obvious to anyone who knows anything about knives. They are deserving of the reputation they are beginning to develop. I own that very C Schlieper and like it very much although it is a bit big. Great review as always.

Thank you for your review, I always enjoy them a lot. I agree with the poster who said that it would be easier to open the sheepsfoot blade when the pen blade is closed, since there is much less stress on their common backspring. And a few words to tommytruth: Where do you think your cellphone/computer/TV has been manufactured? I can give you a hint: it's commie land.

On the German Eye, are the backsprings carbon steel or stainless? Also, the sheepsfoot blade will be a LOT easier to open when the spay blade isn't also open.

@SianReynolds Hello, I think that the backsprings are stainless steel - at least they didn't get a patina yet. Cheers!

If you have to choose between the two, go with the German Eye. But here's a thought--how about buying an American made knife instead of one made in RED COMMUNIST China or Germany? Too many people buying imported knives are the reason that Schrade and Camillus, among others, are out of business.

@tommytruth I'm a European, hence applying your reasoning then I should only buy European knives, and stop buying American knives such as Case for example... Would you agree with that?
In my little videos I rather try judge products on their own qualities, the economy has become globalised after all.
