1959
Marshall Thompson, Marla Landi
The conquest of new worlds always makes demands of human life. And there will always be men who will accept the risk. In this case, the risk is being stuck in cheezy drive-in fair.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only who feels this way about this fgilm. I was also when my mom, who loved sci-fi and hitchcock films took me to see this. Scared the crap out of me, and i avoided seeing it again for years.

  • I also saw this in 1959 and it left a life-long impression.

I also want to see this - AGAIN!!!!

  • As a five year-old in 1959, I was taken to see this by my father and remained terrified for weeks thereafter. Even today, I am as wary of watching this again as I am of seeing "The Exorcist" a second time (and my reactions to both "The Exorcist" and "First Man Into Space" were remarkably similar, though separated by 15 years....).

  • Why, OH WHY, must people stick a camera in front of their TV, record the disgusting mess and then post it for all to see?

  • too bad the whole movie isn't posted. I was about 11 when I saw this one. A B movie to be sure but great fun--or at least that was the impression it made on me then. The astronaut comes back as monster as a result of his contact with star dust or some such thing. Terrorizes everyone.

  • it sucks NOT THE MOVIE graphics

  • @witchman67

Oh dude you missed out I saw this movie under the PERFECT conditions, in a theater when it was released in '59 at the age of 7. Scared the shit out of me.

  • That is how I first saw it, too. This was a pretty scary movie at the time.

  • One of my all-time fave B movies. I remember seeing this one on WNEW 5's Creature Features all those years ago in the early 1970's. Too bad they don't have Saturday night monster movies anymore.

  • i think that the rusians did it first. why cant i find this on you tube?
