This video showcase some of the games and projects that I have done. Currently I have chosen three of projects that I have done back in Polytechnic.
The first part of the video showcase of an AI-controlled Life-Simulation. Ai will move to different places to perform various actions based on its needs and personality. There are communication between AI (Collaborative AI) if there are more than one AI in screen. This also affects the decision making by the AI.
The second part of the video shows one of User Interface that I have done. This UI is actually part of the 2D game shown in third part of the video. Details of this UI can be found in the description of the game below.
The third part of the video showcase one of the 2D games that I have worked on.
In this game, Player gets to choose one of the two available characters, along with one of the weapons (Each character have a unique set of weapons available). Shooting and bomb patterns differ based on the type of weapon equipped.
For the gameplay, Player gets to control the character to "fly" around the screen and shoot down any enemies in the screen, while trying to survive. There are mini-bosses and boss in each level, Player can only proceed to the next level or continue the level after defeating them.
There is also a highscore system, where it keeps track of the players' score. Help is available in the Main Menu to show Player the controls of the game and how to play.
The final part of video showcase a 3D game that I have done. In this video, I only recorded two of the three levels of the game.
There is a slight difference in game play and control for each level:
For the first level -
Player gets to tilt the screen to move the vehicle around the map. The main objective of the game is to ram the vehicle against other vehicle and be the last to survive. Damage calculation is done based on the speed and velocity.
For the second level -
Player can still move around, but in this level the only way the Player deal damage to other vehicle is by collecting rocket and shoot them out on the enemy.
In this game, there is a radar on the top right of the screen to indicate the direction of the enemies and items. The health of the vehicle are being divided and can been seen in the bottom right of the screen.
There are collectable items that Player and AI can collect. These items can refill their fuel (so vehicle can move), repair vehicle, and speed boost, rockets (only in level 2) respectively.
