So I guess if the Mets had managed to win a title with any of those guys then they would have bought a title as well. Yankees are playing within the rules. Nothing prevents them from signing whoever agrees to sign with them. Same as any other team. It's not the Yankees' fault that the Mets are a fiscal mess.

@asktheNBAguru CitiField was built for a guy like Reyes who can hit the ball in a gap and get a triple. Guys like Jason Bay and David Wright have sufferred from Citi's dimensions. While Yankee Stadium may be a lauching pad, Citi Field is the complete opposite. Good for pitchers and fast runners, not so good for power hitters.

But thanks to the short 314 right field porch, it shouldn't be a problem. Hell, if Mariano Rivera was a lefty, he could bat cleanup for the Yanks, and he's a pitcher. Good luck hitting one out at Citi
