The thumb hole remains the same, but for this grip the middle finger remains at finger tip depth and the ring finger is drilled to the two knuckle depth.

The Sarge-Easter bowling grip prevents the bowler from putting a heavy side spin on the ball and instead creates more forward rotation of the ball. If you tend to put too much spin on your ball this grip might be the perfect choice. The amount of hook using this grip will be less than the fingertip grip.

For the players with extremely high rates of revolution ("rev rates") and skill level, a Sarge-Easter grip may be an option. This is when the middle finger is drilled to finger tip depth, while the ring is drilled to the conventional depth. It allows players with high revs to change their axis tilt and allow more forward roll as to keep the ball from over hooking.

The Easter grip-in which the ring finger is drilled with a conventional grip and the middle finger is a fingertip-can help reduce lift and better control the break point.

  • It does actually cut down the revs, because you give less with your ringfinger than you would have done with fingertip, as the ringfingers tendons are connected with the middle finger, and ring finger. So the optimal grip for revs is fingertip on both, and curling your little finger. I use it because I destroyed my tendons in the ring finger. I had around 350-400 rpm, but now I got tendonitis, and I take the ringfinger a bit out, and disables it totally. I fall down to 250rpm. Sucks, but no pain

  • @iiInFecTioNzii not really, there's a myth that it cuts down revs. what it consistently does is it makes going up the back of the ball infinitely easier. it calms down the back end and gives the ball an earlier read on the nasty heavy stuff. crankers like it because it makes heavier patterns and tough stuff easier because of the earlier roll and calmed down backend. I'm going to get it fairly soon, to help control the backend on my equipment.

  • does a sarge easter grip give u more hook on the ball???

  • who did robert play when he left the flush 7-10?
