Modified Roland TR 606

Hello, this is my selfmodified Roland TR-606 Drumcomputer. I have added an external controllerbox for editing different paramters of the drumsounds. Also I have added single-outs for the drumsounds. Please excuse the noisy and limiter/compressor-pumping sound from my videocam. Have a nice day. ;-)

Bravo. Much better than my mods. I never could get the hat decay to work. Snare sounds good too. Is that overdrive on the toms internal to the 606?

Thanx for the flowers :-) There is either an internal or an external overdrive. Maybe the video-cam let it sounds a little bit distorted.

how easy is it to make the controller box for additional controls?

It´s not a really big deal, if you are in electronics. Schematics may be found on the net. I have so, a few years ago. The biggest problem is, that inside the TR606 isn`t much space for modifications.

I'm just starting to look for mods, do you know a place where to find accurate information. One youtuber that there is some false information out there.. (which I'd like to stay clear of!!)

still very cool but nowhere near an 808 in sheer presence of a big black box laden wit colourful buttons and cool bulky knobs .. but still very cool brother ... nice job... u in australia ? wouldnt mind having that done my 606 .. peace
