He sure does. $11.00 an hour and $2.00 a run, no fanfares or parades. We do it because cause if we don't no one else will. I will never recover from the emotional trauma I have suffered but, I keep going cause I am always needed on the street or on the casino floor. Also, can get rid of that Star of Life on got tated on my arm.LOL!

thanks for this....i'm an EMT student (I graduate in May). I go to class/ skills lab/ clinicals everytime falling more in love with this profession. I honestly couldn't imagine myself doing anything else right now. I see these videos and it sobers me up real quick, but also makes me realize that I love what i'm doing even more. Yes it is difficult but I think the challange is worth it, and at the end of the day all I have to do is remeber that i'm doing this to make a difference to somebody

I became an emt at 16 and have been doing it for a year. I wouldn't give it up for the world and once I'm done with high school hope to become a paramedic. Great video it really shows the ups and downs of the things we see.

I am gonna to be a paramedic in Slovenia.
I really like them because they are always on the place of accident, and they always help anyone. You rock!!!

Some days it really sucks, but when that person comes back healthy and happy because you helped them, you couldn't ask for anything better. I can't imagine doing anything different.

I would not trade my job for anything, yeah it maybe hard somtimes for the things you see. But the best part for me is saving a life you feel good when you help people, and yeah there is those calls you get that you wish you never did get but I learned im not god im just working for him and I try my best to do well but somtimes you lose one!!

I am a paramedic and have been in this field for 5 years...one of the best life decisions i have ever made...at 21 i cant think of a better profession, one that you can love, one that can you hate, one that no matter what you come back the next day and do it all over again. May god protect and assist all who are and will take the call to duty and save someones life.

I started straight out of high school as an EMT and loved the job immediately, I worked full time and went to school full time, got a Bachelor's in accounting and had/have the opportunity to be making more, a lot more in a different profession but instead of leaving EMS for a much better paying job I went to paramedic school and took a job with a hell of a lot more responsibility and little difference in the paycheck.
But I wake up everyday excited to go to work even after a decade of doing it
