This is piece on Charlie's wishlist for a long time. Despite that he's not 10 yet (but almost 10!) he wanted to give the whole sonata a try. This is 3rd movement and one that Charlie spent quite some time on, although he made some uncharacteristic mistakes.

  • Wonderful! Keep polishing, too.

    From,

    Anna

PS. I enjoy reading the descriptions you put at the bottom of many of your uploads. :-)

  • @LarsenPiano Thanks Anna for your comments! He already posted an improved version...

  • How impressive! You have amazing talent, Charlie! What Beethoven Sonata are you going to learn next? The Apassionata" ?

  • @OldRabit Thanks Janet! I'm sure I'd be looking forward to Annie's version of the piece!

  • Congratulations on the excellent work you have put into this difficult piece, Charlie! Especially the attention to the different touches needed [legato, staccato]. Concentrate on tempo for the statements of the rondo theme and the subsidiary subjects. Reign in the tempo. Check Arrau out as to tempos. Then the triplet semiquavers can fit in more easily. And they are not easy. Not by any means!

  • @gerardbedecarter Thanks so much for your suggestions Gerard! I'll have him read all your suggestions on his pieces tonight.

  • I'm learning this piece now too!

I like you video very much because I can look at the keys =D

  • You seem to have the whole sonata licked!! I am sure you are now polishing it well...

    Really excellent....

  • Wow!!! How old are you?

  • Gratulację.

  • @hamiltonrrw Yes, at 2:11 he pressed some left hand notes too soft, although his left hand is weaker. I meant bigger problems at 0:47, medium at 0:57 and 1:14, some chords not played together, then 4:03 (big!) and 4:09 (I'm skipping small ones). He had quite a few issues that normally happen only 2+ times in this piece but instead happened many times here. Given the circumstances it's not too bad, but it is far from what he's capable of on this piece.
