First flight of my new TREX 500. Very stable bird. Only getting some bobbing action in the tail. I'm not sure if its due to the Counter balance bolts I installed on the tail rotor or a low Headspeed condition.

Metal Frame with Torque tube tail rotor, Powered by Scorpion Motor,,,

  • @trexinvert thanks , I will check the rudder. I also cleaned and re-greased the feathering shaft and bearings.I removed the 2 counter balances that were on the tail grips. Going to test fly and see if any improvement.

  • Wow, that tail bob is strange. Definitely not low headspeed. Check your tail rudder linkage for resistance and binding. High speed tail servos typically have low torque so any resistance may cause problems. Good luck.
