At St. Bonaventure University, Charles J. Shields presented a lecture about Harper Lee and her 1960 novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. Shields is the author of a 2006 biography of Harper Lee, Mockingbird: A Portrait of Harper Lee, which he adapted in 2008 for young readers as I Am Scout.
