  • thanks, for this wonderful collection...I would love to find someone with Lurchers in the southern USA.

  • @2barbreak Thanks!

  • they look so weak, but yet the muscles on them are the first thing you notice. such incredible dogs, im more of a cat person, but these dogs are beautifull.

  • @bulletjunk In some ways they can be weak as their bones are light. Therefore lurchers are used to catch hares rather than greyhounds. That is because lurchers being hybrids have stronger bones so their legs do not break when making sharp turns in rutty English fields but are still fast enough to catch the hare.

by the way never keep a cat with a greyhound. Although yes there are exceptions. Greyhounds and lurchers have phenomenal prey drive.

  • @beginnersgambling possibly some element of truth there.however i have been around greyhounds and lurchers all my life, and the greyhound is the fastest dog alive, the reason for the cross breeding usually with a collie was for brains.greyhounds can be rather stupid chasing a hare or rabbit there sight hounds and have tunnel vision and prone to go crashing into gates and fences where a lurcher will jump the obstacle

  • @relmmih6 yah I agree with that too.

  • @beginnersgambling there are several exceptions. Its a disservice to the breed saying they cannot be kept with cats. You have to chose the dog carefully but many retired racers that even won many races (my dogs as an example) has no interest in my cat. He's far more safe with cats than many dogs. There are several factors that play into whether a dog will go after a cat than just prey drive.

  • Anybody know the song?

  • ...

  • poor rabbit :(

  • I do oval track and sprint racing, although we kind of stick out because we're in a predominantly sighthound club and I'm out there with my German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix who is 5 times as crazy and intense on the lure than the sightounds xD

  • @AnubiGrey Not everyone who races or courses is an asshole.

  • @AnubiGrey Shut the fuck up, nobody cares..honestly.
