this is purely, phsycological, it is not a phisical addiction, but it is about the same thing really, because if your so hooked on gaming that you cant move, then your brain is telling your body "dont move or ill die' and the aim of a body is to protect the brain.

as a gamer myself, yes. there is video game addiction. i play PS3 and i play it alot and for long periods of time. and when you have left ur console you want to play it. i went on holiday for 2 weeks and on the way home i couldent wait to play my ps3 once again. so yes, its true. but i dont know about not eating or going to the toilet, thats pure lazyness i think.

Hey Tom, yes addiction can manifest in any shape and form. Video games are no exception. You seem like a bright kid. Keep learning, the more you know the better, knowledge is power.

Yes, I've always thought that video game addiction is more of a symptom of addictive personalities. I love games and yet only played WoW for about a month. Whereas, a friend of mine (Whom I gave a free trial to *gulp*) played for a period of 5 months where he would often stay up for two to three days playing non-stop on a diet of mainly bird seeds... And it was pretty much the first game he'd ever played. He would tell you that WoW was not the problem but more a tool for his problems.

Hi tom, great video, and im sure your soon going to be a household tech name =] as to your question about being addicted to game'ing , I know that this exists, I am still fighting the urges to rejoin world of warcraft for the 5th time. that being said I dont think its a valid excuse to miss work/school or get dumped by my X though she bought me the damn game...
