Odd White Elephant Over Dutchess

While recording a multitude of jets over Dutchess County, NY the other day I found this one clip to be quite strange. The first 2 jets are to show the traffic pattern, the third moves in a strange and rapid Z maneuver (best as I can call it). The camera shakes as I was trying to match the jets path; I expected it to follow the same arc in the sky as the others. To my surprise I saw what I would classify as a very rapid ascent contrary to the direction of movement. Are my eyes decieving me or is the camera playing tricks, or is this a possible normal maneuver? Please let me know what you think.

*Note - I did not edit this footage .. it's all jiggle.

This clip was taken with a Panasonic MiniDV Palmcorder. It has a 30.5 -37 mm lens with 700x digital zoom.
