The Miami-based art collectors talk to Crane.tv at the Rubell Family Collection, their 45,000-square foot warehouse, containing perhaps one of the edgiest contemporary art collections in the world, featuring such well-known artists as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Cindy Sherman, Kara Walker and Andy Warhol. The Rubells are pioneers of what is often referred to as the ?Miami model,? whereby private collectors create a new, independent form of public institution and were instrumental in bringing Art Basel to Miami Beach.
