What a disgusting display of Marxism!

LOL
This is retarded.
Regardless of wealth and income inequality, absolute real income, as well as personal and political freedoms are much greater in societies with freer markets.
Capitalism, i.e. free markets, i.e. freedom of individuals to make choices for themselves, is the only system that has been shown to increase the well being of the average person.
Government has essential functions, but socialist fundamentalism leads to poverty and misery.

The freedom to be enterprising.

@directedchaos the large amount of money they have just insubstantially dog-piles on to their ego, they get greedy, making them so used to living in the lap of luxury that they have no idea of the poverty on which they layabout in comfort.

Who made slavery, The government or the big business?

The main problem with your argument for socialism against capitalism is that greed only exists within capitalism. With Socialism, the same class system exists, but instead of monetary differences, its more of differences of power. Greed still exists. Only instead of cash, its the power over individuals. At least in a capitalist society, the state of one's wealth is decided by an individual's success, instead on relying on state-imposed altruism, which has been prone to fail.

You know, I've never gotten this whole "greedy rich people" argument. I want the greediest people in the world trying to find cures for diseases, I want the greediest people in the world trying to create better technology, and I want the greediest people in the world creating new art and entertainment. Those are the people who accomplish things. Bill Gates isn't out robbing liquor stores, he's creating jobs.
I'm surprised that there's still part of the Left which thinks that it's their position which is the rational (read: non-religious) one.
The fact that they think that capitalist's driving motive is theft can be explained with one word: projection.

I'm surprised that *ANYONE* still thinks INCREASING WEALTH INEQUALITY isn't a problem.
Our middle class is eroding -- the *foundation* of a great country. If we're left with a handful of superrich, and the masses, that's called an OLIGARCHY.
Only a free-market zealot could say the means justify the end. Private property is good, but we have to watch out that this rat pack doesn't chase itself off a cliff.
Pause over some of those statistics. We're not an oligarchy yet, but it's worrisome.
