HIGH SPEED, LOW FLY BYS WITH My NEW A-10 THUNDERBOLT II RC ducted Fan BRUSHLESS EDF Jet.

This A10 is WAY too much fun to fly! This video is just a small sample of the fun I was having as I flew 3 batteries, each flight about 7 minutes long.

The Thunderbolt is from NitroPlanes and has 2 BRUSHLESS motors and runs off an 1800Mah Lipo 3s.

Flown Saturday January 24, 2009.

Pilot: Robert Griffin
Cameraman: Zack Griffin (12yrs Old)
Plane: A-10 Thunderbolt II EDF RC Fighter Jet

  • Whats the top speed on that

  • @MILLERS066 : This one only gets around 55mph. thanks ~~Robert.

  • I just bought this and it says everywhere it can take off from water, have you tried it yet/or think it is waterproof? :)

  • @billyb87 : I've read that too, heard others talk of doing it, but have yet to find anyone who has tried it. I know for Absolute Sure that the BRUSHED version of this plane would never do it. Now, the BRUSHLESS version does possibly have the power to push through the water enough to get airborne, and with the wingtips bent down like float stabs, it would help stay upright. My Big issue, is with waterproofing. The water would have to be glass smooth, and landings would have to be 5by5 perfect

  • 1:25.......nice low fly by! So fast looked like the wings were about to snap. Have you ever tried to clock the speed?

  • LOL, yeah the wings bow a little in those high G passes, but the plane is well made surprisingly. I haven't clocked it, but probably should. She really hauls. Thanks for watching and comment!
