I didn't know of Steve Giordano until I got my 1st computer(March 2011)and came across his website. If you are serious about playing music,do yourself a favour and check out his site. Not to compare, but as a reference point, he's up there with Joe Diorio, Atilla Zollar et al. A real free thinker. Thank you Steve!
Fantastic, what chordal knowledge, the free introduction was just great and after wards the beautiful Victor Young theme,I love your approach and sound, really good professional statements and performance. You asked me a question bout my Takamine electro- acoustic it's a CP-132SO ( I don't know if it's still in production but you could check it out on the Takamine Site), keep up your fantastic work, thanks for this great post,Vic.
What a treat to find these videos. I took a summer's worth of lessons with Steve ten years ago before I went off to college. I learned more in those three months than in all the other years of instruction. More than any other jazz guitarist I know, Steve's music always serves beauty and experimentation, rather than mindless technique. Steve, I never quite made it as a jazz cat, but I still play Brazilian music-- although not Jombim. We're called Alma Tropicalia, check us on myspace
My ears are staring in amazement. They long to hear this kind of harmonic adventure every day for the rest of my life.

This is so beautiful. Technical, without being the shred-fest that most treat this lovely little ballad.
