Early morning, about 4 a.m. on July 19, 2010. My son and I were sleeping in our tent when this monstrosity blew in. The storm started to collapse our tent and we went outside to check it out before the rain started. The wind was blowing at a constant 60mph+ -- not gusts, just straight-line wind. A second wave hit at 8 a.m. while we were packing up camp. The third storm hit about 8 hours later between the Badlands National Park and Wall, South Dakota.
Wow, pretty ominous storm indeed. Nice lightning captures as well!
