just to say, i don't understand why people think subaru are 'the' rally car manufacturers, that's just a weird stereotype for cars. ford have a way longer and more succesful career in wrc and mk2s are the most common national rally car that i know of.

I agree with you, but even I think of an Impreza when you mention "rally" rather than a Ford. Because Colin McRae drove them both, but somehow I think he is much more famous for driving the Subaru's than his Ford's. I never even knew about him until after he was done with Subaru and yet for me that is how I think of him, like most other people. Just how it is I guess.

Surely you mean European Fords rule. I know you americans think Ford is american by default because of the Ford logo but you should know there is an enormous difference between US-Fords that produce vans and pickups and European Ford that produce good stuff. Fiestas have sold 12 million cars world wide since 1976 and only now, are they welcome on the american market. Now that US-cars kinda died.
