  • Beautiful. It's like watching the Gospels being written ...

  • In my opinion, the main reason why Nadine Nortier works out very well as a typical "Model" is due to her personality. That's why Bresson would spend a lot of time finding the right person. What happened to her? Nothing. She had a normal life and grew old nicely. Thats what bresson truly beleived. Reality came from anyone.

  • Nadine has such a haunting aura about her. She was incredible in this film. Where has she gone?...

  • An incredibly sad but powerful film by a great man, Bresson-

In the Midst of the Big Atheist movement in Film, this Great Believer in Catholicism, put together this film, which was sad, very sad-

And Nadine Nortier--I hope she is still alive, and well--was absolutely wonderful--

Does anyone know where she is? Or what happened to Nadine Nortier?

  • It's weird seeing his actors behind the scenes. He's totally right about making a film in a 'cold' way to get a 'hot' reaction. Of course it can be done otherwise, but his whole technique of acting is to subdue the audiences emotions, while slowly building it to a cathartic ending, where one is deeply moved, emotionally. His technique is much more than or perhaps not at all about a disdain for theater, as he liked to claim.

  • I am very very very deeply moved by your films.

    Great man!!

  • Love it. Love Bresson. Nadine looks a lot like Charlotte Gainsbourg in certain lights. Don't know whether to comment in French or English. Just sublime. And I actually know and love APT...our friend owns a village house in nearby Forcalquier, and we get the friends-'n'-family discount. Love Provence, mainly when not too touristy...

  • Thank You!

  • thanks for this.
