@7Lexo well except slaves of the mines and some various Helots weren't treated very well like typical slavery... depended on the status of the slaves and what their jobs were... most were treated like children according to Aristotle

@OwninZZZ they're slaves werent like normal slaves we think of.. whipped and forced into duties... their slaves had freedoms and lived their own lives.. they were more like the middle and working class society than slaves

@aguafinatv Citation? The spartan class treated the Helot class like shit .. they were slaves. They would ritually kill helot by the thousand. Where did you get this idea of them being just workers from?
